May 7th, 2011 1:17 am

Music has many genres, and there are different categories in each of the genres. Also, music continuously keeps evolving in new forms. Hip Hop has been quite popular for a long time, and in the recent days, more and more musicians are using hip hop drum beats. In fact, it is the use of the drum machines that has given rise to these beats. It is also because of this reason that it is largely considered that the hip hop beats simply cannot be produced without the drums at the center. Remixed versions of a wide varieties of musical pieces is one of the popular traits of the hip hop drum beats. This is basically done by looping which indicates that the drum beats would not require any constant consent of the artist. There are only a few tools needed to produce a track and can be created with the help of different styles which can be further categorized into scratching, sampling, rapping, and even, beat boxing.

The hip hop drum beats can again be divided into vocals and the beats. The beat is nothing but the instrumental music played in different instruments. Audio drum loops, bass line, snips, dub and many more things are included as part of the elements of this genre. This form of music is indeed very trendy and funky. That is why these beats are usually found at the parties. However, these beats can be played only in some instruments like synthesizers, pianos and even guitars.

Dancing is an incredible way to learn about yourself and in my opinion, an incredible way for people to reflect upon themselves and what they want to be. Get off your butt and actually look for your local community of bboys. Find out when and where these guys practice. Bboys will practice just about anywhere, but in some cases you may find a group of aspiring bboys practicing and training in a local gym’s multipurpose room. Ask the people that work at the gym or ask fellow dancers.

Talk to the bboys and find a good mentor(s). Aside from their intimidating attitude in battles, bboys are generally very nice. Hip Hop teaches love and peace and bboys true to that meaning will accept “newbies” to their craft anytime. Ask them for tips and make sure you really listen and take their advice to heart. racticing bboying is much harder than you may think. Patience is the key, but as in all things, you must be persistent and extremely hard-working. Take your breaks logically and be safe but do not slack off. Your fellow bboys and those in the community will support your work ethic.

The resources are ALL out there for you to learn, improve, and get better. Start with youtube, search for some beginner tutorials and learn from those or browse bboy forums. In this case, step number one will be replaced with this online source. Keep in mind though, that being on your own without physical help from someone requires an extensive amount of mental strength and stamina to get yourself to train. Therefore, the emphasis on step number 3 is more crucial than ever, leaving your ability to get better up to your own desire and will-power.
